Ended Rare Antique Egyptian Head Wax Seal

This is an absolutely beautiful intricately carved and cast wax seal. Definitely rare, but further research is suggested to determine origin and age.

This is a wonderful antique Egyptian figural head wax seal. It is composed of intricately carved ebony wood with metal adornments. The eyes are "bone", as are the teeth. The metal adornments include the button-studded banded base, the side wings with wrapped hieroglyphic band on the back, the snake banded head-wrap and the hieroglyphic festooned cap. On the top of the head is an octagonal seal written in what appears to be Arabic script.

Condition: Overall in good condition. Seal has a small missing piece approx. 3mm in diameter. Hair missing small piece along edge of left side of head. In unrestored/uncleaned condition; would benefit with light metal cleaning.

Measures approximately 3.5" in height
