Having an estate sale is not an job. This is even more true when the sale involves the passing of loved ones. Not surprisingly, the impact of losing someone close to you can make even small tasks seem large.

I had considered hosting a garage sale for the belonging in my parent's home. I ran through a list of tasks that needed to be done. I won't lie, I was overwhelmed. How much does this table cost? What about the clothes? The crystal set? How do you keep track of the inventory? How do you prevent a person from coming in and taking things while you're in a different part of the house?

You'll eventually find out, if you don't know already, is that you're loved one's belonging have meaning. It can be difficult to part with items even though they may need to be sold. It can be an emotional experience.
