It all began with the Travelocity gnome years ago. Our dad was diagnosed with MS and had to retire early on disability. We opened up an Ebay store and Auction site. Dad got the biggest kick out of selling these little gnomes. As the years went by Dad's symptoms got worse and he was also diagnosed with cancer. He was only 56 and has been gone 11 years. My brother Mike and I decided to expand the business to Salvage Brothers LLC. I know Dad would be happy we found something we enjoyed, and it tied together with keeping his memory present. Especially when we are selling car parts, oil cans or anything to do with cars.
So today, our business is known for honesty, fairness, fast turnover of products whether we are shipping in the United States or worldwide. We have sold to many countries. One of our favorite transactions was a green vintage WWII desk. A gentleman in California bought and it was to be used for a museum display.
We recently began taking consignments. Many are downsizing and need a reputable business to sell their memories. The families and their cherished memories are treated with respect. Usually, payments to the estate are quick and effortless. Every once in a while, there may be a small problem to correct with a buyer but is solved as quickly as possible.
