A packet of information is sent to prospective clients including an information letter (how sales are set up and conducted), contracts and a list of references. CEL acts an an agent representing the client, not the customer. Items are priced at current fair market values. Free verbal estimates of sale net proceeds are available. Our company works on a commission basis with no upfront fees to the seller. Items are sold on-site.
We adhere to strictly advertised hours of operation. No one buys early. No one on our staff buys anything from the sale until it opens. We Do sometimes allow phone buyers to call after a sale opens perhaps after 11 am and buy via phone using a credit card...
We have a loyal following of customers. They go where ever we go. For each sale we e-mail flyers to hundreds of customers We maintain customer mailing lists for various parts of the State.
Settlement is sent to the seller 14 days after the sale including a detailed listing of items sold.
When the sale is completed arrangements may be made with other entities to dispose of furniture and/or collectibles. Usable non-collectible items are donated to a local church or charity - when one is available in the area - and a tax receipt obtained for the seller. We will need a few days into the following week to accomplish this. Usually cannot do this by Sunday.
