Our Testimonials

Our experience with Tim McCulloch and the rest of the staff at Scheerer McCulloch Auctioneers has been nothing short of tremendously positive. They went above and beyond the call of duty in all respects. They understood our trepidation at selling our collections and antiques that we acquired over many years and became, in many respects, as “children” to us. They patiently answered questions, gave us gentle and informed assurances whenever we needed it, and did everything they possibly could to help us walk confidently through this process. In short, they overcame our apprehension with the utmost in professionalism, courtesy and patience. And the result of their leadership is evident. We broke records for auction prices on our works of art and we nearly doubled our goal for the Peabody Home Foundation’s Endowment Benefit Auction. They exceeded every expectation. We walked away from this experience with the duty to them as our new friends that we will tell of their talents to all who wish to know. So we’re telling you now: When you hire Tim McCulloch and his team, you can rest assured that your decision is the right one!Stan Williams, Director of Development, Peabody Home FoundationJanuary 2020
Hi Penny/Tim, Thank You! It was a pleasure to work with both of you including the entire staff at Scheerer McCulloch. Everyone was extremely helpful and just great to work with. Thanks!Scott and Jane McCleeryJanuary 2020
I purchased a high value item($30k) from Scheerer McCulloch Auctioneers. Everyone from Tim(the owner) down to Dustin at the shipping company was easy to work with and knew their stuff. Even though I live 2,000miles away from where they're located I am thoroughly satisfied and have added their website to my bookmarks and will definitely be checking out their auctions on a regular basis. Thank you Tim and everyone at Scheerer McCulloch Auctioneers! 5 stars!!Chad PfeferJanuary 2020
I was apprehensive when considering the idea of selling my house at auction. My perceptions of auctions were formed way back when I was a young girl hanging out with my dad. He'd go to an auction, usually a farm auction of someone in the community that had passed away. Dad was interested in picking up small farm implements and/or yard/garden tools. We'd even go to the "auction" barn on Saturdays to pick up the very occasional farm animal. My first bike was purchased at an auction. To me as a young girl, auctions were "lots of stuff stuffed into boxes" or "farm stuff to be purchased after someone had died." So here I am a "city gal" who has lived in the city longer than I lived in the country. No one has passed away (although after the auction signs were posted in my front yard, a few neighbors did stop by asking what had happened to me! Seems a few of them had a similar perception about auctions) and I don't have any need of farming equipment. I had lived in this house for 27 years. So why was I considering an auction?? Good question and I have a great answer! Once I met and talked with David Meyers about the benefits of selling at auction, I was all in. My older perceptions of an auction were replaced with phrases such as "the house is sold as is", "two open houses" and "on the day of the sale, it sells!" I wasn't going to have to wait months before someone would find my house acceptable to their liking. I didn't have to always have my house neat and tidy because of last minute requests to see it, and most importantly I had a definitive date that the house would sell and a definitive timeline for closing. Boom - check please! David and the team made the entire process extremely easy. No surprises. Everything was posted on an electronic bulletin board by the team members that I could access through email and see what steps were being taken day by day, week by week. I was always given advance notice of what steps I needed to take to keep the process in motion. At one of the open houses, I arrived before some of the final visitors had left. I listened to David talk very comfortably about the house details and keep them engaged and interested the entire time. That confirmed to me that he was the right man for my house. The day of the auction the setup people arrived right on time. They were respectful of the personal property as they handled it. In a very short amount of time, everything was set up and the yard looked like a party was about to take place. The auctioneer introduced himself and then it was "show time." Watching the auction was like watching a dance of sorts. Everyone on the team had a role - some were leaders and others were followers. All I did was stand back and let them do what they do best. Once the property sold, the clean up performed by the team was swift and efficient. I never once worried about any of the details of selling the place because I had complete trust in David and everyone on the team. I would definitely recommend this auction company and its team to anyone who is considering selling their home.Mona WillJanuary 2020
