Carl Helvie was a master collector and focused much of his attention on 18th Century porcelains and art. He had a keen eye for the unusual and  recognized quality items when he found them. His home is filled with the pieces he treasured! Estate sales with such treasures have become rare today. This house, situated looking over the bay, is much like a visit to a museum except that you get to touch it, hold it, fall in  love with it and purchase it for your home! 95% of the items available are antiques and nice collectables. There is very little in the way of basic housewares.
Dr. Helvie was a nurse, professor, writer and a friend! He also hosted a radio program on holistic healing. He was a long tIme cancer survivor and his passion for natural healing guided his work. He was the founder of the Carl O. Helvie Foundation and the proceeds from the sale of his collections will be to benefit the foundation.
A portion of his estate went to Jeffery Evans Auctions in Va. Dr Helvie’s items were included in the auctions from April 23rd through 25th. The auctions results far exceeded the estimated prices due to the beauty and rarity offered. Now is your opportunity to view and purchase the wonderful items that were selected to be offered out of his home. Please come and join us for a truly unique estate sale experience, sales like this come up once in a blue moon.
Due to the COVID19 restrictions we politely ask that you not include children in this shopping experience. We would have to count the children as part of the 10 participants which would mean others may not be able to be accommodated. This home is also not child friendly due to the sheer amount of items. We love children and want them to be safe!
I will be adding pictures and changing them daily so check back frequently to see them all!
