In many ways going through the three floors of this house will be like going through a house in Colonial Williamsburg, except that you do not have to buy a ticket to get in.  The owners were avid collectors and decorators in the colonial style.  You will find antiques and reproductions of furniture, clocks, ceramics, candle holders.  If you ever wanted wall sconces, this house has many choices for you.  Another enjoyment will be seeing all of the rugs distributed throughout the house, including semi-antique Asian carpets and reproduction braided rugs.  On the hearth, you will find handwoven Arab saddle bags, tent bag, ground covers.

We have assembled in the family room large round and oval brass trays, most of them on wood stands.  They sit on a beautiful Persian rug in front of the fireplace as well as on the mantle.  You will find vintage wall clocks and antique mantle clocks beginning in the entryway.  Antique and reproduction pewter abounds in the dining room.  Take a moment to sit on the period bench at the period tavern table to imagine what it must have been like eating at such a table 2 centuries ago -- probably noisy and congested.  While you are sitting try to remember where you saw the antique "Fraktur" which is a very historic piece of Pennsylvania Dutch Americana.

The kitchen has a lot of china as well as MUCH cookware.  There you will find Evesham porcelain and "country look" dinnerware in addition to a white-on-blue dinnerware set and blue glassware -- makes quite an impression.  We put the Royal Doulton "Adrian" pattern dinnerware in the family room for lack of space elsewhere.  Remember to look out on the deck for the patio furniture for sale.

Upstairs you will find a tester bed with blue/white printed cotton hangings, also matching valances at the windows. The draperies are for sale throughout the house.  At the opposite end of the upstairs is a short 4-poster, double size.  The large electronic keyboard was in that room, so that is where it stays.  On the way down that hall you can go into the office which has large shelf units for sale plus a slant-front desk for sale that sits beneath a reproduction painting of George Washington.  An antique female portrait hangs in the dining room over 4 tables of china/glassware, and artificial Christmas trees.  You will find many more Christmas items in the large basement storeroom.  On the way there you will have passed a raised carpeted platform with blue/white plaid armchairs, real butter churn, crocks, real quilt rack hung with handwoven textiles.

Going the other way in the basement, you can work on your heart rate either on the treadmill or the bicycle.  Beyond that is a sewing room with antique sewing machine, fabric remnants and quilting material.  Still beyond that room is another storage room with boxes of fabric, wrapping paper, and more.  Hunt for the 2-drawers spool chest and the vintage hobby horse.

The 2-car garage is filled with equipment and hand tools:  drill press, Delta planer, Hausfeld air compressor, table saw, tiller, edger, spreaders, 7 ladders.  If you still intend to take up golf, there are 2 golf bags of clubs.  One client used to buy nearly every club we had for sale.  One day I asked him what he did with them.  He said he tried every one and none of them work right.

Where do you think you will find the blue/white spongeware, the handpainted linoleum floor covers, the child's chairs, the wool winder, the harvesting baskets, the Toby mugs, and the antique "naughty" picture (from Victorian times)?    Be sure to sit for a moment in one of the Windsor chairs.  They are probably the most comfortable wood chairs ever invented.  On the other hand, the straight tall-back chairs may look fine, but you will not sit for long in them.  The authentic antique jelly cauldron will hold a lot of whatever you wish to put in it.  The bookcases in the sun room have magazines and books that you may enjoy looking through while enjoying just sitting in that room.

Come and enjoy being in this house, also visiting with other customers you have seen in the past.  Please bring empty boxes and satchels as we have none to offer.
