Laurie McRae Interiors is honored to sell from the home of Philip Morsberger. Although his art is being retained by the family or sold through “Outside the Box” Art Gallery, we are liquidating the collections and items from the house.

Philip Morsberger was invited to Augusta State University as the Morris Eminent Scholar and chose to make Augusta his and his wife’s permanent home. They lived their lives in Maryland,  California and Oxford, England previously. Their home was always open to friends, colleagues and the art community, and many a night was spent around the baby grand with Philip at the keyboard.

It is always enchanting to me to see the world through an artist’s eyes and their possessions. Come enjoy this home and pay tribute to his amazing talent and kindness to our community.

“He said that painting was a form of prayer, less about 'getting it right' than about unfulfilled longing.”
