Over 21 inch painting or scroll - an original painted work that appears to be on fine silk laid down on paper, apparently Ming or Qing, depicting an Immortal next to Kwan Yin

Assumed to be antique, at least 100 years old - possibly centuries old. One of our neighbors is a retired Chinese speaking professor - he believes this is many centuries old but stressed that while he lived in China he never did museum work.

Fine Rockport Gloucester MA Massachusetts Plein Air Impressionist Landscape. Inscription indicate composition depicts the Lily Pond Reservoir in Gloucester, Mass. near Bearskin Neck in Rockport. Inscribed & Titled "T. C. Valencamp Lily Pond West Gloucester". We believe this is by T. V. C. Valenkamph and that his name was misspelled in the period inscription.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Assumedly during or after conservation this work was inscribed on the front Conrad Buff, the Swiss-born California Impressionist. We've never seen Buff associated with Gloucester, there is inpainting about the signature and we are quite certain the extensive Gloucester-related inscription on the stretcher is period so we believe that this is by Valenkamph and not by Buff. This small bowl has a modern Chinese wax seal export seal and we suspect it to be late Ming to early Qing but the reverse reminds us us late Edo and early Meiji Japanese Arita wares so we are offing it simply as Asian and old, antique or dynasty era - as is.

Qing Dynasty, this painting was described in the estate inventory as circa 300 years old however simply offered as antique and attributed.

Smith Silver Company of Gardner, Massachusetts that was according to the present owner ordered as a professional courtesy by the U.S. State Department and re-sold to him at cost.
Approx. 101.5ozt (approx. 95ozt solid sterling silver + 13 hollow handled pcs. at approx. 0.5ozt silver portion of weight ea.) variously in numbers of 6s, 12s and 16s plus five serving pieces and one additional badly damaged teaspoon. No monograms. Each solid piece with Smith lion rampant and S cojoined hallmark and marked STERLING, hollow handles marked STERLING, knife blades marked STEEL BLADE SILVER PLATED, pie server blade marked STAINLESS.

Provenance: From a collection of post-War art dispersed north of the Palm Beach, Florida area, 2017. Old or antique African large carved wood maternity maternite statue of a nursing mother with rowed hair, scarification and neck rings seated on a stool and supporting three infants, two on her knees holding her breasts and a third clinging to her back.

We have limited knowledge of this field however our online research indicates this may be a West African Agba sculpture although we have seen somewhat at least to our interpretation related images captioned Yoruba, Baule, Luba, Congo, Nigerian et al.

PACHECO, Ferdie (Cuban American, 1927-2017): Self Portrait, oil on canvas, 29 9/16" high x 29 7/8" wide, signed lower right. Unframed. This work is accompanied by a hand written letter by the artist's brother-in-law (brother of the artist's wife Luisita Pacheco) stating it was acquired from her approximately 20 years ago and that the subject is a self portrait.

Old typed label in English affixed to reverse identifying artwork as hand painted in Nepal. 

Support medium is woven and of fairly heavy stock - uncertain if silk, linen or canvas (the weave is visible in rear including around what we believe to be the wax seal remnant). We believe this to be circa 19th century however it may be older but simply sold as circa pre-War to antique (as probably near to well over 100 years old).
