Estate Of Dr. Robert and Ruth Cale Lakeview Estates Hueytown by Joe Featuring a Baccarat Collection

We proudly announce the estate sale of Dr. Robert and Mrs. Ruth Cale, an esteemed couple active for many years in the Hueytown, Bessemer, and Birmingham areas.  

Included for your consideration are many high-end and collectible items.  These include a superb collection of many Baccarat crystal glass pieces, including four rare candelabras.  Most of the Baccarat is either amberina or cranberry glass.  One is cranberry cut to clear.   

There is an impeccable Henredon dining room table with two extension leaves, six side chairs, and two armchairs.  A beautiful old dressing screen is in excellent condition.  There are two antique stereographs for looking at picture cards.  One is a very elaborate table-top model, and the other is handheld; both are in excellent working condition.   There is an antique Masonic sword that belonged to Dr. Cale's father Edward, who was a pharmacist in Pratt City.   I have a large, very nice world globe in a wood frame.  There is a beautiful set of nesting tables.  There are several fine armchairs, including one that is highly carved.  There is a very nice one-of-a-kind custom gun display cabinet with internal lighting that Dr. Cale commissioned a local craftsman to make.  There are many very nice statuettes, figurines, and vases.  There are several antique dolls both large and small in excellent condition.  There is an antique Singer sewing machine that was used by Ruth in the 1950s and ‘60s.   There are many unframed Richard Sloan bird prints, possibly a complete collection.  There are many Richard Timm wildlife prints, which also may be a complete collection.  These prints are signed and numbered and come with a COA; most are 22" x 28".  There are many good quality books available.  There is a very pretty Hungerford bedroom suite which comes with a full-size bed, and a king-size headboard and frame.  There are two nice Aladdin oil lamps that have been converted to electric, and some vintage lighting fixtures.  Dr. Cale’s original leather carrying case is included; he carried it with him when he made house calls in the 1950s.  Dr. Cale’s old wall-mounted sphygmomanometer, vintage weight & height scale, original office desk and swivel chair, and two orange waiting room chairs (could be Eames) are for sale.  These several items came from his office on Fourth Avenue in Bessemer, where he practiced medicine for fifty years.  There are many assorted antique clocks available.  I have a lot of nice patio furniture and concrete pots.  There is a concrete garden statue of one of the Saints in very good condition; it stands about four feet tall.  The garage is loaded with a myriad of assorted items, including a couple of vintage table-top fans that are in good working order.  There is a large pull-down 1936 R F Hartle United States USGS map.  I have a nice drop-leaf dining table with gate legs that needs some TLC.  There are several old cast iron items, a martin birdhouse, miscellaneous hand tools, and an abundance of the usual normal household items available.
